Is there a setting to force PowerPoint to adapt to full-screen mode of whatever device it’s running on? I don’t see anything like that, either in PowerPoint for Windows that I created the slides with, or PowerPoint for iOS that I want to run the slideshow on. I poked around online and don’t see anything that is quite on the mark for me. If I tap on the black space at top it opens up a small toolbox at the upper right where you can see that as far as the app is concerned it IS in full-screen mode (the symbol gives you the option to shrink the app to be NON-full screen which makes the slides even smaller). I ran the slideshow, and instead of being full screen it displays that black-space-on-top-and-bottom look that indicates some video misalignment. I went over to my 12.9” iPad Pro and loaded up PowerPoint and the presentation which I have access to with OneDrive. The slide show runs fine and full-screen on my monitor. PowerPoint slideshow runs full-screen on Windows desktop but not on iPad Pro I created a presentation with PowerPoint on my Windows desktop (I have a subscription to Microsoft 365), with the documents themselves residing on OneDrive so I can access them anywhere. Is there any tool or tweak that one can use? Note that I also tried "Keynote Live" - which is a combination of all problems: Users will see the HTML version of the presentation (with the limitations mentioned above) and I still have a full screen problem.Īpple, is it really that difficult: Just run the presentation on one screen and let the other screen be? If you try that solution:ġ) resize your presentation to the window or screen size.Ģ) control the output: some text is rendered slightly differently which might lead to problemsģ) be aware that not all animations are working as expected, e.g., line-draw is not workingĮxporting to HTML is a work-around - but is there no other solution?īackground: As many other users who have asked this question over the years, I need it for video calls (in these times more important than ever). "Playing" the slide show in the browser then let you either just run it in a Window (A), or in full screen on one display while the other display is still usable (B). One work-around (for both cases) is to export Keynote to HTML. I really cannot believe that this is not possible. This question has been asked several times, at least for the first alternative (A). (B) in full-screen on one display WITHOUT blackening out the other display (which is usually the case when a window is made full-screen) (A) not in full-screen but in a Window or Is it possible to play a Keynote presentation either
